taking time out for 'yourself'

Among the hustle and bustle of weekday life, it is not often that people take a day just for themselves, rather than devoted to thinking about their work or things they have to do. Separating yourself from your work self, or your university work self is difficult but it's also incredibly important to be able to switch off.
Having recently started my third and final year of uni, I am strongly embodying the stereotype of "incredibly stressed third year". My mind is filled with dissertations, job applications, and generally just a very long 'to-do' list of things to complete both at university and within my uni home. I find that my weekends are no longer breathing periods, yet more hectic catch up sessions for the weeks to come.
I have realised just how important it is for your mind and well-being to have a breather and just escape from it all. So that is exactly what myself and Tom did this Saturday morning. We decided we wanted to dress up cosy and go on a nice Autumnal/Winter-y walk along the fields behind our house. Whilst sometimes is not viable to take an entire day out, as that would probably make you more stressed by being behind on work, it is important to get some fresh air and take some 'me time' for an hour or so, meaning you can return to your work with a clear mindset.
Tom took his camera along on our walk so I'll leave a few snaps below- enjoy alllllllll the autumnal shades of oranges and browns oooh
